Offsite Storage
If you subscribe to Offsite Storage with ‘BackupWhileISleep’, and have performed backups with the option to send your data to the web checked in the BackupWhileISleep Desktop Manager, you can access this data from any internet ready computer. Below are step by step instructions of this process.Step 1):
Open any explorer (for example: internet explorer), and go to our ftp site at Stellar Day Products.com.Step 2):
Enter your user name and password:
You will receive a request for a User Name/Password. When you purchased and registered BackupWhileISleep, you received an email with this document attached. That email contains your user name, and password. Your user name is comprised of your phone number plus your computer id, and it is referenced in the email as your account number. For example, if your phone is (111)222-3333), and you installed this on one computer, your account number would be 1112223333_1. This will be your user name. Enter those at the following prompt:
After you log on, you will receive a list of folders backed up:
Every folder that was backed up with ‘BackupWhileISleep’ has a zip file containing the files in the folder. The name of the file lets you know what folder was backed up. The first part of the name is from BackupWhileISleep control to ensure the file is unique. Starting after the first sequence of numbers is the drive letter, for example “C”, and then every backslash is replaced with an underscore. Locate the folder you want, and single click the file. You will be prompted to open or download. You may be prompted to enter you user name and password from the steps above.
